As a beach lover from London who frequently reviews coastal resorts, Castle House Hotel was a pleasant surprise during our family getaway. After a sensational evening at Hereford Cathedral, where we enjoyed the finest opera arias, we returned to the hotel ready to unwind. The friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and our suite was spacious and comfortable, offering everything we needed for a family stay. We particularly appreciated the little touches like fresh flowers and a delightful decanter of sherry. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a wide selection that catered to everyone's taste, including kids' favorites. The dining experience was solid, offering a good menu showcasing local produce. One of the hotel's highlights was its convenient location, allowing us to explore the beauty of Herefordshire, including the scenic river valleys and a chance to spot Peregrine Falcons during a short family walk. While the hotel has room for growth in terms of its identity, our family had a delightful experience overall. Castle House is a great choice for families seeking a cozy retreat with easy access to local attractions and activities. Reservations are highly recommended for a smooth experience!
